What's the role?
We’re looking for an Account Manager to join our team in Oulu area.
You will have the opportunity to work on some of the Finland’s biggest construction projects whilst at the same time receiving world-class training and development to take your career to the next level. In this role you are responsible for developing the accounts and sales in your own territory in Oulu area.
Who is Hilti?
Hilti provides leading-edge tools, technologies, software and services for the global construction sector. We have a proud heritage, built over 75 years, and a worldwide reputation for pioneering products and exceptional service. With some 30,000 people in more than 120 countries, which we’re looking to expand, we’re a great place for you to show us your worth, step up to new challenges and grow your career.
What does the role involve?
As Account Manager, no two days are the same but you’ll spend most of your time visiting our customers, wherever they’re busy working, to find out how we can help them. You could find yourself on construction sites or in offices and warehouses. You need to be happy to get your hands dirty but also be able to adapt your approach to the customer in front of you – it could be a senior management team one day and a sole trader the next.
Our sales is a model of professional consultative selling, and it’s a really hands-on job. It means rolling up your sleeves to demonstrate some of the most pioneering products in the industry, along with all the services and after-care that come with the Hilti name. Far from traditional cold calling, it’s about nurturing relationships and developing contacts on site with warm customers and helping them find the most innovative and cost-efficient solutions for their needs.
You’ll be managing your own time – your car is your office and you’ll be responsible for setting your own diary to ensure you’re visiting your customers when they need you. You’ll be part of a supportive, field-based regional team who are only a phone call away but you’ll be working by yourself on the whole, so you need to be comfortable with building relationships remotely.
What do we offer?
You’ll get into Hilti's excellent corporate culture. With us personal growth, professional growth and company growth go hand in hand. We develop, challenge and encourage our people to develop themselves and provide only the best possible service to our loyal customers. You’ll get a company car and all the needed equipment. We provide continuous training and a lot of responsibility from the very beginning.
We will give you all the tools you need to succeed in the task. The onboarding period contains:
Basic training in Manchester, GB
Onboarding days at our head office in Espoo, Finland
Basic training camp in Hämeenlinna, Finland
Field Trainers to support you in the early stage of your career
Buddy program to help you get started with Hilti
Why should you apply?
We have an excellent mix of people and some of our best employees joined us with no previous experience from construction industry. Success at Hilti is down to teamwork and ability, no matter what your background is. If you are a sales professional or willing to become one, with an interest towards technology, you'll feel at home with Hilti.
What you need is:
- Customer service & sales experience gained in any industry
- Relevant degree and desire to build your career in sales (i.e. Ms.Sc in Business or Engineering)

“How am I going to sell power tools? I’ve never drilled a hole in my life! That’s what I thought when I first joined Hilti, but it’s really not like that. It’s about nurturing your strengths and being rewarded for hard work.”
