I joined Hilti Russia in 2013 having completed my Masters degree in the US. At that time Hilti Russia had this graduate programme where they recruited native Russian speakers who got their Masters degree in the US and brought them to Russia to work for Hilti. My career path started in indirect sales, specifically in the Customer Services. That was totally new to me, but at the same time very beneficial as I learned very quickly how the company operated and how its departments worked together. I then moved to our finance team, developing the finance processes and systems.  
 
From there I moved to Hilti Kazakhstan to become a Finance manager and a part of the leadership team. One year ago, I moved to the UK to a wonderful HR team as a Regional Reward Manager.  
 
That’s five jobs in three countries in five years! I love to travel, explore new cultures and new countries and work in an international environment. Hilti feels like a big family that helps and supports you no matter where you go!

What I love at Hilti is that you have a new challenge every day! You always learn and look for an initiative to go further. 
 
I first got to know Hilti as an intern for 6 months. I was studying in a Business School but I only had 6 months of experience within a communication internship and I wanted to refocus my career into finance & analysis. Hilti gave me a chance with an internship as an analyst for the Global Account Department, I took it, and that was one of my best decisions because I have really discovered what trust, engagement & company culture mean.  
 
After finishing my studies, I started in the Market Reach & Services Department. During a year and a half, I analysed to where we have the most potential to invest more resources. I was also in charge of projects for France but also Spain, Belgium and Portugal, and it is a part I really like in Hilti, you work globally, you exchange best practices with all countries.  
 
I then moved to our finance team because I wanted to discover investment from a financial point of view, it was very exciting to look into the sales performance. I was in contact with the Sales Force to help them drive the business and ensure financial sustainability; as Finance Business Partner, you work also with each department to better understand the financial implications of department initiatives. 
 
Now I am in charge of a team of 3 people where we work on the right KPI's to use and how we can help make better decisions with the right data insights.

Remembering a couple of days I’ve spent, doing a job shadowing – it was a part of the selection process in Hilti Russia- I felt so curious and engaged, so caught myself already thinking, what I would have started with and already drafting my ideas. That made me believe, that this is my company. And that day I heard: “We will be happy to have you on the team!” 
 
My first four years at Hilti became the best school to experience how to survive in turbulent time and learn most out of it to recover the business faster, when the first opportunity comes. It was exciting in few years later to see the results of our work: opened new offices and facilities, hundreds of new team members, who are succeeding on their jobs and growing so fast within the company, events for 800+ employees, celebrating the growth together. 
 
My move to the US within Hilti showed me Hilti business from a new perspective with all the pre-requisites of the mature market: I saw the largest and the most modern job sites in Silicon Valley, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, new technologies and developed business processes, but I felt the same about people: they were from different countries & cultures, with diverse experience, but such a comfortable & interesting to work with!! They have been passionate about what they do, professionally mature in different aspects of the business. A lot of them have worked for 10+,20+ and even 30+ years. I have worked a lot with young generation to help them to accelerate their development at Hilti. And they grew so fast professionally and personally! 
 
Now having a global responsibility, I travel a lot. Changes countries, continents and market realities I see this is not a good luck or a coincidence. It’s about culture of this company, which has been proved its uniqueness by years and decades. People drive success of this organization and create a solid platform for the future, making day-to -day interaction with each other and every single touchpoint with our customers an awesome experience!
